Can't believe I missed the UFC event in Sydney, I'm so going to the next one.
Though it does seem like a fairly large disparity in scores given that the only difference is graphical quality, I do respect this site (and AP), so it must have particularly bothered them.
Anyway, my PS3 CE will arrive on Tue, can't wait.
After I beat ME2, I'm going to play Heavy Rain (looks amazing), then I'm on to FFXIII...Too many games
At people above complaining 'bias' because of the same scores, I think you're taking it a little far... Fair enough if the game looks worse, reduce the score a little to reflect that, but the Bayonetta comparisons are obviously not correct. As AP says (as well as the technical analysis at DF), the games are essentially identical performance wise (eg framerate, screen tearing etc), so it isn't the same as Bayonetta where the PS3 version, looked and performed significantly worse.
...
Great site AP, really enjoy your take on my favourite genre.
I ordered the CE PS3 version from Zavvi (i'm in Aus), if any Americans want the CE check it out, pretty good prices.
I can't wait for this game, so excited.
To all the people making the standard 'in your face' '360 suxorz' comments, I think it's time you guys grew up...
This may well be the biggest problem the PS3 has ever faced, the mainstream media are having a field day with this...I really hope it's sorted before FFXIII comes out...
Impressions from JRPG fans who have the game?
You definitely haven't played SMG have you. Ratchet and Clank is pretty competent as a platformer (amongst other genres as well), but in all honesty it just doesn't stack up to the brilliance of Super Mario Galaxy, SMG has to be played to be believed, it's that good.
SMG2 is going to be awesome btw :)
Are there any mods actually left on N4G...How was this approved?
So I'm not the only one who thinks this website is possibly the worst on N4G... It honestly has never produced any content other than flamebait trash.
Super Mario Galaxy is up there as one of the best games this gen (and easily the best platformer), I expect great things from SMG2.
Awesome news about Metroid and SMG2 being released so early, it really makes me think that Nintendo has a massive game up their sleeve for the Holidays (please be Zelda)...
Please report as 'Wrong Source', Gamesthirst has once again plagiarised content from another site...
I'm unaware of the ME2 install issue...I have installed the 1st disk by itself and am currently playing through that, when I reach disk 2 I will let you know if there are any issues.
In regards to the space issue, my point is that 2GB of data has not been used across the 3 disks, did the 360 version really need so much compression if that is the case?
I agree, my comment was in relation to the people implying that you would have to buy a larger HDD just to play the game. I also install all my games to the HDD (fortunately I have the 120GB model), and If I only had a 20GB HDD I would just install one at a time (like you did with ME2)...
I still can't get my head around why there is 2GB of data not used in the 360 version...Given the clear visual superiority of the PS3 version, why was that space not used to the benefit of the 3...
Umm how is it bad news for arcade owners, they are optional installs...?
Anyway, the real issue here is that 2gb of data hasn't been used across the 3 disks. Install size for 360
* Disc 1: 5.9GB
* Disc 2: 5.8GB
* Disc 3: 6.6GB
Why?
I think people take these things way to seriously...
Also, don't know if you guys are aware, but the real HD version is near the bottom of the page (it's 350mb).
It looks great.
LOL at the fanboys above ;)
Not my 'cup of tea' personally, but it would be great to see this up against Reach this holiday, I think it would be a great move by Sony.
